Did someone say Chilli. Eating. Competition??
In 2019 fifteen brave entrants tested their courage and taste buds by entering the Chilli Eating Competition – and they did not disappoint! Competing in multiple rounds from jalapenos, red cayenne, thai green to habanero chillies with nothing but some milk, cucumber and water to help it go down! Each round the chillies got hotter as the number of entrants dwindled. With only a few left in the final round, tears were shed by some and the bucket close by for another.
Thank you to the brave entrants and a big congratulations to our Winner yet again – Benjamin!
The newest addition to the 2019 Chilli & Chocolate Festival was the Chocolate Eating Competition. 10 sweet tooths entered our inaugural contest in which they had to tackle 1kg of chocolate in a matter of minutes. The goal was to eat as much as possible in the allocated time, with the remaining being weighed to determine the winner. It was extremely close with third place going to Nathan who consumed 277 grams, second to Sean eating 287 grams and our winner Brooke Timbs managing to eat 297 grams!
Thank you and congratulations to all those who participated!
The Con Artists had us all movin’ and groovin’ again as they weaved in and out of the crowds! Their energetic and colourful street performance was a great addition to the 2019 Nowra Chilli & Chocolate Festival, really adding to the atmosphere and entertaining the crowd. Thank you for once again participating in our festival!
